The Emirates Cardiac Society is a non-profit organization established in 1999 under the Emirates Medical Association.
ECS is striving to improve cardiovascular health through education, research and quality patient care. ECS helps people understand the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and provides science-based treatment guidelines to healthcare professionals to help them provide quality care to their patients.
The society has regular scientific meetings and social gatherings. It hosts local and international conferences affiliated with Gulf Heart Association, Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, World Heart Federation, European Society of Cardiology and American Heart Association.

CVD in Women 2023

On 3rd and 4th of February 2023, the Emirates Cardiac Society has conducted successfully the CVD in Women Conference, the First of its Kind in the region

The event was able to attract large medical and specialist participation from GCC and MENA Region With more than 550 physical and virtual participants
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death in women worldwide.
Women with CVD continue to be under-diagnosed and under-treated due to misconceptions and lack of awareness among both patients and doctors.

NCD ACADEMY

Emirates Cardiac Society is thrilled to collaborate with ACC (American College of Cardiology) along with the World Heart Federation and NCD Alliance to be part of launching this important educational program, with support of funding Sponsor “VIATRIS (Mylan+Upjohn, a legacy Division of Pfizer)” of the NCD Academy.

NCD Academy is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between major actors in global health to equip frontline health workers with integrated, mobile-first education on NCD care as they take on a more prominent role in prevention.
